Is it organic? OMRI and certification explained
Last reviewed July 1, 2026
"Is it organic?" is the question we hear most, and the honest answer depends on the product. Here is exactly where each one stands.
Soil Food - yes, OMRI Listed
Soil Food is OMRI Listed for use in organic production. If you are growing to an organic standard, Soil Food is the OrganiLock product to reach for.
Plant Food - not certified organic
Plant Food is not OMRI Listed and not certified organic. It is a fast, effective liquid feed, but if you need an organic-certified input, use Soil Food instead.
Refresh - not yet listed
The Refresh products are built on an OMRI-Listed Soil Food base, but the finished Refresh products are not OMRI Listed today - their certification is in progress. Until it is granted, we do not claim OMRI status for Refresh.
What "OMRI Listed" means
OMRI, the Organic Materials Review Institute, independently reviews products against the USDA National Organic Program standards. A product that is "OMRI Listed" has been reviewed and approved as allowed for use in certified-organic growing. It is a third-party check, not a self-declared label.
